Langgata in Sandnes

Langgata in SandnesThis is taken May 1st, 2012, which explains why the Norwegian flags are up. Norway have certain days that are classified as ‘flag-days’, and the first day of May is one of them.

The picture is from Langgata in Sandnes. If I remember correctly, it’s taken facing towards the north of the street. Langgata, which translates into ‘long street’, is one of the longest pedestrian zones in Norway. Although a lot of the people rather shops at the local malls, there is still some people that walk down the street to shop. The day the picture was taken, the shops were closed, so there are fewer people than normal.
