The Monument of Light

Dublin

This is the Spire of Dublin, which is (according to Wikipedia) also known as the Monument of Light. This was taken in June of 2013, and it’s on the cross between O’Connell Street Lower and Earl Street North. The fact that I got the entire ‘needle’ in the picture, meant that I had to step back quite a bit. It’s grand, and lights up in the evening (and night), which made it easier to find the way back to the hotel when it started to get dark.
