Broken column was a project that involved placing 23 sculptures around the area in Stavanger. They are similar in looks, but the height according to the ocean differs. The first one was placed in December 1999, and the project was finished in 2003.
Commonly known as rustne menn, or rusty men by the locals, the statues have been decorated with costumes, and are still a part of the city centre today. If you ever find yourself in Stavanger, the sculptures are not hard to find.
