In the middle of kvadraturen in Kristiansand one can find the Cathedral of Kristiansand, and it’s rather pretty. This picture was taken in mid-August 2015, when the weather was pretty great.
The current church is the third cathedral built in the same location, the first two were destroyed in fires in the 18th and 19th century, and the third cathedral re-used the walls of the previous cathedral and was completed in 1885. It is 70 meters tall, 60 meters long, and 38,7 meters wide, and with a seating area of 1000 approved places, it’s one of the largest churches in Norway. (The cathedral website in norwegian)
